A father's life

I haven't been blogging much, preferring instead to be living life and working rather thanrecord the episodes of life. Yet so much has happende since the last entry--a lead a very successful New Warrior Training Adventure in Brooklyn, the first in an urban setting in more than ten years. Jack has been growing so beautifully, sleeping so well and being so delightful. I'm looking forward to spending time with him this weekend while Sharon attends a retreat. Work has been fun again and I'm doing my first speech aToastmasters in less than two weeks. And I've developed what looks like a case of hives for the first time in my life!

I survived the blackout by walking several miles over the 59 Street Bridge to Queens and Queens Boulevard before hitchhiking to Woodhave Boulevard with a Turkish journalist. From there, I got a cab to take me to Howard Beach where Arline and Sol fed me and drove me home. It was delightful sitting in the backyard with Sharon and seeing the stars so clearly. Easy to sleep in the quiet and a pleasure to go to the beach that Friday, returning home to find the power had been restored. YEAH!!!!!!!!!

I feel excited to be alive again.
